Somethinc Supply Chain Management System is an internal web platform designed to streamline logistics and inventory operations between stores, warehouses, and inter-store communication. The system supports store-to-warehouse ordering, stock monitoring, task tracking per store, integrated communication between stores, and invoice-based transactions. It also provides low-stock alerts and inventory forecasting to help prevent stock shortages and improve operational planning.
The goal of this product is to reduce operational friction, improve visibility across the supply chain, and enable faster, more informed decision-making at every level.
1. Requirement Discovery & Domain Understanding
I started by conducting interviews with stakeholders and operational users to understand real workflows, pain points, and dependencies. To design accurately, I made use of my knowledge in supply chain processes, inventory cycles, and logistics constraints.
2. System Analysis & Information Architecture
Based on the findings, I translated complex operational processes into a clear system structure. I designed the information architecture to support multi-entity relationships between stores, warehouses, stock, orders, invoices, and tasks. It helps making the system logical, scalable, and easy to navigate.
3. User Flow & Process Mapping
I mapped end-to-end flows for critical scenarios such as store ordering, stock monitoring, inter-store communication, and task management. The focus was on reducing steps, preventing errors, and making status visibility clear at every stage.
4. Visual Hierarchy & UX Design
Given the data-heavy nature of supply chain systems, I prioritized clarity, scannability, and hierarchy. Key information such as stock levels, alerts, tasks, and order statuses is designed to be immediately visible and actionable.
5. UI Design & Usability Optimization
The final UI balances efficiency and clarity, to support daily operational use without overwhelming users. Every interface decision is grounded in the needs of logistics, store staff, and operational managers.
